1. Ubuntu
Linux ubuntu merupakan linux yang paling populer saat ini. dengan dukungan komunitas yang sangat besar. dengan tampilan yang sangat mudah sekali digunakan, walau memang versi ubuntu terbaru saat artikel ini ditulis Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS dengan menggunakan antar muka Gnome.
Ubuntu dirilis dirilis setiap enam bulan sekali ( 6 Bulan ). ubuntu memiliki 2 versi yaitu
- LTS ( Long Term Service) versi ini menjamin lima tahun security dan general maintenance update. jadi pengguna tidak perlu upgrade beberapa bulan sekali untuk tetap menggunakan ubuntu.
- Non LTS versi ini security dan maintenance update diberikan hanya satu tahun setelah tanggal liris versi tersebut di umumkan.

Linux ini merupakan salah satu distro linux yang paling banyak digunakan diseluruh dunia. saat artikel ini ditulis sudah mencapai versi Linux Mint 19 Tara dan seperti biasa linux mint memberikan 3 Antarmuka yang bisa kalian pilih Cinnamont, Mate, XFCE.
Linux Mint Update setiap 6 bulan sekali. distro ini hadir dengan tampilan yang tidak jauh dengan windows. jika kalian baru beralih dari windows ke linux ini adalah distro paling rekomendasi untuk kalian.

Open Suse memiliki dua varian utama OpenSUSE Leap dan OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. Open Suse Leap menggunakan source code dari Suse Linux Enterprise membuat nya jauh lebih stabil, Versi leap rilis kira – kira satu tahun sekali dan di dukung selama 3 tahun. sampai artikel ini dibuat distro ini sudah mencapai Open Suse Leap 15,0.

Menurut pengguna yang sudah expert di bidang Linux. ini adalah versi terbaik di tahun 2018. Centos merupakan cabang versi enterprise Linux Redhat dan difokuskan untuk stability. Centos memiliki security dan maintenance update dengan dukungan 10 tahun dari versi rilis.
Memang secara umum penggunaan Centos tidak baik untuk pengguna sehari hari. tetapi jika kalian lihat kestabilan dan dukungan keamanan yang sangat lama ini akan berguna untuk kalian yang ingin menggunakan linux tanpa perlu update secara berkala.
